  1. Now this some hard ninja stuff- what an infuriating game. I remember sitting and playing this sucker for hours, all the while wishing I was doing something productive, like learning actual ninja skills. Massive waste of time all around. Thanks for bringing back the memories of this one, James.

  2. I feel so much better seeing him die at the exact spots where I died a million times. It wasn't just me! The game truly is a beyotch!

  3. I was a really skilled gamer when I was young. I beat all 3 Ninja Gaidens with relative ease. I probably wouldn't be able to do it now.

  4. This video was how I discovered the game and made me want to try it. I've never been so pissed off at a game before but I would watch this video again for inspiration and finally beat it. When I struck the final blow on the end boss I said "this one's for you, ya fucking nerd"

  5. When I was a kid I thought it was Ninja AME Gaiden. If you look at the Chinese lettering it almost looks like AME.

  6. 14:21 As a matter of fact, it is possible to access a level select by inputting AZUTYSXT, OTUVASXV, and EGUVPSXT in Game Genie for the US version (it can also be accessed in the JP and EU versions but require different codes than these) and starting a new game. You can then navigate through the level select by holding A and pressing Left or Right as you like, then pressing Start.
